The Schechter Institutes, Inc. is providing pluralistic Jewish education to 35,000 people this year.

What does your gift to the Schechter Annual Campaign do?

  • $80,000 a year for 4 years will fund Schechter's Center for Women in Jewish Law - The leader in publication and advocacy in support of equality for women within the framework of Jewish law and tradition.

  • $50,000 a year for 4 years will pay for the Chaplaincy program of the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary - a pioneering program for learning pastoral care in cooperation with hospitals.

  • $40,000 a year for 4 years will sponsor Jewish education at the award winning Chernowitz Day School in Ukraine.

  • $30,000 a year for 4 years will sponsor the development of a new TALI school - training staff and guiding the integration of Jewish studies into the school, serving hundreds of children and their families.

  • $20,000 a year for 4 years will train a young Israeli man or woman to be a Masorti/Conservative Rabbi, providing a new type of spiritual leadership for Israel.

  • $15,000 funds a community Sunday school in Ukraine for a full year - serving 100 children and adults.

  • $12,000 sponsors a MILI club, with weekly quiz competitions and other educational activities for 40 young Russian immigrants to Israel, introducing them to Judaism in a comfortable and inclusive milieu.

  • $10,000 will train a teacher in the TALI Leadership Program - preparing him/her to coordinate Jewish Studies in a TALI school, including an M.A. in Jewish education.

  • $10,000 will sponsor an Argentinean rabbinical student studying for a year at the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary.

  • $10,000 will publish a volume of Jewish studies research by a Schechter faculty member.

  • $5,000 provides an internship for a Schechter Rabbinical Seminary student in a congregation, TALI school, or hospital.

  • $5,000 sponsors a year-long adult education course in Jewish studies for Russian-speaking immigrants - providing the connection to Jewish heritage they never received.

  • $2,500 provides an MA scholarship to an Israeli teacher studying at Schechter - professional development providing knowledge and skills to be applied in the classroom.

  • $1,000 pays for a series of 5 teacher room workshops for a TALI school staff - enriching their Jewish backgrounds and improving education in TALI schools.

  • $500 funds a 2-week summer camp session to a child at Camp Ramah-Ukraine - providing an unforgettable experience in Jewish living.

  • $250 provides a series of "Niggunim" Jewish music workshop to a TALI class - introducing 30 children to the beauty of prayer and Jewish spirituality through music.
