Midrash Shmuel (Hebrew)

Description

Midrash Shmuel is the only surviving early midrash to the book of Samuel. It was first printed in Constantinople in 1516 and the latest edition is that of Solomon Buber (Cracow, 1893). This new edition is a critical edition based on the first edition with a thorough historical introduction, variant readings and a scientific commentary. This is the first midrash to be published by the Schechter Institute’s Midrash Project.
