The
question you ask is very important. You did not make it
clear if you have already converted (if you did, congratulations
and welcome into the Jewish people), or if you are contemplating
a Conservative conversion. These are the things I can tell
you:
1)A
Conservative conversion is 100% binding, according to Halakha.
2)
In a Conservative conversion, the process is less compelling
and very often much more interesting and intellectually
challenging.
3)
Most Jews in America are not Orthodox, so they would certainly
see your conversion as a full conversion. The Orthodox Jews
in general would not consider you as converted according
to Halakha.
4)
If you immigrate to Israel after undergoing conversion abroad
in a conservative Beit Din, Israel's Ministry of Interior
is required to register you as a Jew. But if you undergo
a Conservative conversion in Israel, your conversion will
not be officially recognized by the religious authorities.
5)
If you are converted by a Conservative beit din,to marry
a Jew in a Jewish ceremony (Hupah and Kiddushin), you will
have to marry with a Conservative (or Reform) Rabbi, because
most Orthodox Rabbis won't recognize your conversion, and
will not want to perform the wedding.
I
hope I was able to answer your questions.
Good
luck,
Rabbi
