Three Measures of Flour

Dear Rabbi,

What does "three measures of flour" in Genesis 18:6 mean? Is this the fellowship offering?

What is a fellowship offering?

Answer

I found no reference to a fellowship offering in the commentaries or in rabbinic literature. The purpose of the three measures of flour is to bake enough cakes to honor the guests properly.
