The Schechter Institute is dedicated to strengthening positive Jewish identity and dialogue through knowledge and education.

Welcome to "Come and Learn" at Schechter.

At The Schechter Institutes, we believe that Jewish education is the birthright of all Jewish people, regardless of their level of observance. Engaging in an informed, pluralistic dialogue around Jewish knowledge and tradition is essential to the future of Israel as a Jewish and democratic State and to the future of Jewish communities around the world as vibrant centers of Jewish life.

The Schechter Bookstore and the TALI Education Fund Bookstore offer special discounted internet prices. You will find a wide array of books reflecting Schechter's latest research in the areas of Women and Judaism, Responsa, Prayer and Liturgy, Jewish Law and more, as well as colorful learning materials and Siddurim for children.

Our Schechter on Judaism menu is updated monthly with new articles on timely Jewish topics, written by Prof. David Golinkin in his monthly column, Responsa in a Moment and in his compendium of articles, Insight Israel, written between 2001-2006.  Faculty Forum showcases the best of Schechter scholarship, with monthly contributions by Schechter faculty members. Ask the Rabbi features over 900 responsa written by Schechter rabbis, Diana Villa and Monique Susskind-Goldberg z"l  to on-line questions. Iyunei Shabbat directly links you to the Schechter weekly Torah portion. A scientific edition of Midrash Esther Rabba, supported by the Israel Science Foundation, includes textual witnesses of Midrash Esther Rabbah arranged in a synoptic edition.

Women in Judaism is a repository for Schechter's pioneering research in the field of Women and Judaism.

Responsa for Today (English) is a site that features responsa written by Conservative/Masorti rabbis.
