As Schechter's programs have grown, our physical space has grown with it. We have created two centers of pluralistic Jewish learning in Israel: the New Schechter Campus in Jerusalem and Neve Schechter in Tel Aviv.
The new Jerusalem Campus, when fully completed, will be Schechter's hub, including the Legacy Heritage Classroom Building and the Center for Jewish Education. It will house educational and administrative facilities for the Schechter Institute Graduate School and the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary, as well as a university-caliber Library. It will also encompass the headquarters of TALI and Midreshet Yerushalayim.
The Legacy Heritage House of the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies officially opened its doors to over 600 students and faculty in 2012 when all classes moved to the new 25,000 sq. ft. five-storey building designed by Israel Prize Laureate Ada Karmi-Melamede.
We thank all our friends who enabled the completion of this essential place of learning, ensuring that Schechter education will continue to grow and influence vast sectors of Israeli society. Go to Friends of Schechter Jerusalem Campus.
