Educating for Israel's Democratic and Jewish Future
Endowment Campaign for The Schechter Institutes, Inc.
We need your help in ensuring the future of Schechter and its role as the leader of pluralistic Jewish Education and scholarship in the State of Israel. Schechter is dedicated to the long-term strength and growth of its four key “Pillars,” or programmatic areas:
• Academic Scholarship: The Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies Graduate School; promoting excellence in teaching and scholarship, open and inclusive, for all Israelis;
• K-12 Jewish Education: The TALI Educational Foundation; bringing pluralistic Jewish education to tens of thousands of children in secular Israeli schools;
• Leadership Development: The Schechter Rabbinical Seminary; developing young spiritual and educational leadership to strengthen Masorti Judaism in Israel and Europe; and
• Adult Education and European Communities: Midreshet Yerushalayim; providing adult education programs for Israelis; bringing Jewish education to Eastern Europe.
Our first generation of service to the global Jewish community, and particularly to the State of Israel, has been enabled by committed and generous Jewish leaders who are united in their dedication to ensuring accessible pluralistic education throughout Israel.
But our endowment is currently only $4,000,000. Now that we have completed the building of our new facilities on two campuses, the time has come to ensure our future by building a $20 million endowment.
