Camp Ramah-Ukraine: A first Jewish experience for many children of the children attending the camp.

Over 1,000 Russian-speaking Jews, both children and adults, are studying and connecting to their Jewish heritage through Midreshet Yerushalayim’s programs in Ukraine:

  • TALI Jewish day school in Chernivtsi, with 320 pupils
  • Nine family education centers with close to 600 pupils in Chernivtsi, Kiev, Berdichev, Priluki, Kirovograd, Vinnitsa, Donetsk, Munkatch, and Khust. These schools provide experiential Jewish education to pupils ranging in age from pre-school to adult. In addition to formal classes, all schools hold Kabbalat Shabbat programs.
  • Teacher training seminars where approximately 70 Midreshet Yerushalayim teachers attend an annual one-week training seminar where innovative methods of Jewish education are taught.
  • Ramah-Ukraine Summer Children’s Camp and one-week Family Summer Camp for 350 children and adults from 15 cities throughout the Ukraine
  • Marom-Ramah seminars for young Jewish leaders of North America and Ukraine to grow professionally and Jewishly
  • Kiev Educational-Cultural center whose activities include a Sunday school, a Beit Midrash, Kabbalat Shabbat, as well as courses on Jewish studies for students and families of all ages.
